Vision, 20 Years to Fulfilment (Like unto Joseph’s Dream)

In 1989 about 19 years ago, Karen, Doris, Geok Eng and I were praying one Saturday night in Clementi, at my mother’s home. That night Karen had a vision of four Chinese junks (ships). Karen interpreted that it could be that she needed to take four trips back to Hong Kong from which she had recently come back from as a short term missionary. We also interpreted that it could possibly mean four cities – Singapore, Shanghai, Taipei and Hong Kong.

Since then we have gone to Rhema USA and have come back to start Faith Family Church Singapore (FFC) in 1997. On 17 October 2005 we started our first prayer mission trip to Shanghai. Between 14-16 October 2007, I received the understanding that the four Chinese junks were not about four cities because we had already gone to more than four cities by then. The revelation came to me that it was actually about four people going on prayer mission trips which I had been sensing since early 2007. I also concluded that the fourth person most likely to be, was Doris because she was the one praying with us in 1989. Hence we began to pray about the fourth Chinese junk during our daily noon prayer.

Three weeks later, Doris called and met up with Karen. Karen then presented to her the interpretation of the vision and Doris began to pray about the matter. (more…)

A Fruitful Year, 2007

This has been a fruitful year for the church. Praise the Lord. FFC has turned the corner.

In 2007, we brought our first prayer mission team of 11 to Jakarta, Indonesia to pray for both the nation and Rhema Indonesia. The members of our church paid their own way there. I also ministered at Rhema Indonesia’s fellowship meeting in August and October. And I am again invited back to minister in Rhema Indonesia in March and in the second half of 2008.

The pastoral team also went to Ulaan Baatar, capital of Mongolia on a prayer mission in June.

On our church anniversary in July, we launched our very own website. All thanks to the team who designed the excellent website for FFC. I have only received very good feedback and compliments. Somebody in UK read our website and sent us an email with his comments:

A moment ago I was browsing through the Rhema USA website and pondering on
whether my wife & I should relocate from the UK to Tulsa next year to attend Rhema Bible College . I was touched by your testimony & give glory to God for the amazing work at FFC Singapore.
