You Can Be Strong in the Lord andin the Power of His Might
Ephesians 6:10
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. NKJV
We can be strong in the Lord (not in ourselves) and in the power of His might to withstand any spiritual power that comes against us because the Bible says so. We are strong in the Lord when we are strong in the Word of God, be it written or spoken to us individually. When we are strong in the Lord we are strong in faith. His Word is forever settled in heaven. That is to say, anything God has said to you will come to pass. But we are to be strengthened to patience and to suffer long while waiting for His promises to come to pass.
Colossians 1:10-11
And we pray this in order that you…
being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance [long suffering] and patience, and joyfully…NIV
What Can I Do?
To be strong in what God has spoken to us, firstly we are to meditate on the Word of God to renew our minds and to renew our spirits thereby strengthening our faith. Subsequently our trust in Him is also strengthened. Secondly we need to pray much to strengthen our spirit man so that we are strengthened to be patient and long suffering while waiting for the promise to be fulfilled. Also much prayer prepares the way for you and for God to prepare you and to prepare what is necessary to bring to pass His promises to you. Prayer activates angels to go forth to arrange what is needed for you and also whatever else is needed to bring to pass what He has promised you. Thirdly meditate on what God has promised you and confess what God has promised to you will come to pass; say you will be there (where God has said you will be), say you will have (what God said you will have), say you will do (what God said you will do).
God created the heavens and the earth by saying. God said light be and light is. When God created man and woman He created them a living speaking spirit like God. When man spoke to the animals, the birds and the fishes, they obeyed him.
