A Journey of Faith
Since June 2007, much has taken place in our church. Before that I kept sensing that it seemed like there was more to what we were doing until then.
So in the early part of 2006 Ps. Geok Eng and I even went to Korea to seek the Lord. We joined the prayer services at Rev. Yonggi Cho’s church. But the Lord was silent. While we were away, Rev. Patsy Cameneti spoke at our church. She said that both she and Tony had been sensing that something good was going to take place in Faith Family Church. She also said that it was going to be pivotal.
Internet Bible School
In March 2008 we went on a prayer mission to Lijiang, Yunnan. It was there that we received direction from the Lord to start a bible school in our church. Since then the planning has evolved from bringing students from China to come here to be trained to setting up an internet-bible school. It has been exciting and it thrills all those who are involved in this so far. Some of the instructors (to be) have the same mind and heart. They have also thought of internet-bible school or distance learning a few years back. Also they have been thinking of how to get this Word of Faith message out to God’s people.
The internet-bible school came about after our recent trip to China in September 2008, where a pastor had asked for it. Suddenly from a concept of just having a local school of training maybe 12 students to the possibility of reaching to the “four corners of the earth – that means far and wide”. There is no telling how deep into China we may reach. The potential of teaching God’s people in the furthest corner of the earth is possible. Suddenly the door has just been thrown open to us for the Word of Faith to go forth freely and run its free course that God be glorified (2 Thessalonians 3:1). God is an amazing God! Suddenly we are going into the world without even leaving home and the possibility of reaching the furthest corners of the earth.
Freely Give
This is not a time of holding back. Jesus freely gave His life and poured it out for us all. How can we not freely give it away? We will make the bible school classes available for whoever who wants to be taught. Returning students can also log in anytime to listen to the lessons and have their minds refreshed. With course notes given to them they can go teach likewise to impart the Spirit of faith and prayer.
Anybody locally or overseas can log in to attend bible school without actually coming to school and can download the classes that they may have missed. Or anyone can log in to learn at their own pace. Knowledge of God’s Word is spreading at internet speed and to places we never would have imagined. It would be very interesting to know who will be logging in into our internet-bible school and from where they come from.
The ministry of the bible school in our church came about through the prayer of the saints in our church, praying out the mysteries of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We began in prayer and so we shall continue in prayer. We shall see the fruits of our prayers and we shall all rejoice in seeing what the Lord is about to do!
