A Mother Who Had A Vision Of Her Son’s Impending Death

The pastoral team ministered the Word last week at a town, about 4 hours away from Kunming.

On this trip we met a sister who had lost her son recently. She related to us how her son died tragically in an incident two years ago.  Her son who was 26 years old then, was working as a software engineer.   One day he together with a few others, were entertaining an overseas client in Kunming.  The client had said something that offended a gangster who was there.  A fight broke out and this sister’s son was knifed and he died.

A Vision

Before this tragic event took place, she had a vision in prayer. In the vision she saw a dragon. She also saw a little boy struggling and was wrestling with this dragon.

After the incident happened, she received a call from the police who told her that her son was involved in an accident and was asked to go to Kunming as soon as she could.  She was however not informed that her son was already dead.  On her way to Kunming in a bus, she sensed in her spirit that her son had already left this world.  She then prayed to the Lord to receive him in heaven if it was really so.

Before this, she also had a dream about her son.  In the dream, she saw her son waving good bye to her from heaven.

Many Christians received revelations through dreams and visions, tongues and interpretation, direct revelations, but they did not know what to do.  Often circumstances were not changed because Christians did not know what was God’s purpose of giving them these revelations. Hence they did not know what to do with these revelations.

Just like this sister who had a vision concerning her son but lacked the knowledge of the authority of the believer to stop satan from destroying her son’s life.  There are others who also have the knowledge yet they lacked the wisdom and teaching as to how to apply the knowledge in different circumstances. Many lives were lost or retarded in many aspects due to this.

The Purpose of God’s Revelation

There is a purpose to what God is doing and in fact there is a purpose to why God is giving you a revelation.

Here are some things we need to do…

1. Ask God who is that revelation concerning?

2. If God reveals who is it concerning, then ask what does He want you to do?

3. Whether we know or not know who that boy is in the revelation, one thing for sure, we should use our authority in the Name of Jesus to break the power of the devil and command him to cease his maneuvers and operation against that boy with the confidence of faith that no harm will come upon that boy. The devil must stop his struggle against that boy.

4. Then we can ask the Lord and listen to the Holy Spirit to determine how else He wants us to pray.

5. If there is a burden that is attached to the vision then pray till the burden is lifted.

6. Especially if the Lord reveals that that boy is your son, you pray till you have the joy, or laughter, or a praise and thanksgiving coming out of your spirit, or the burden has lifted and you sense a note of victory. Else you do not stop praying because his life is in danger.

7. When God gives you a revelation He is entrusting you with the responsibility to pray someone through. Apart from your prayer and releasing your God given authority over demonic powers, He can do nothing for mankind and your family.

8. Always be prompt to obey the Spirit of the Lord; the prompting, the burden, the inclination, the inner witness, the still small voice, the authoritative voice of the Holy Spirit, the quickened Word, the revelational gifts of the Holy Spirit.
