A Mother Who Had A Vision Of Her Son’s Impending Death

On a recent trip to Kunming, we met a sister who had lost her son recently. She related to us how her son died tragically in an incident two years ago. Her son who was 26 years old then, was working as a software engineer. One day he together with a few others, were entertaining an overseas client in Kunming. The client had said something that offended a gangster who was there. A fight broke out and this sister’s son was knifed and he died.

A Vision In Prayer

Before this tragic event took place, she had a vision in prayer. In the vision she saw a dragon. She also saw a little boy struggling and was wrestling with this dragon.

After the incident happened, she received a call from the police who told her that her son was involved in an accident and was asked to go to Kunming as soon as she could. She was however not informed that her son was already dead. On her way to Kunming in a bus, she sensed in her spirit that her son had already left this world. She then prayed to the Lord to receive him in heaven if it was really so.

A Dream

Before this, she also had a dream about her son. In the dream, she saw her son waving good bye to her from heaven.

Those Questions that Linger

Many Christians received revelations through dreams and visions, tongues and interpretation, direct revelations, but they did not know what to do. Often circumstances were not changed because Christians did not know what was God’s purpose of giving them these revelations. Hence they did not know what to do with these revelations.

Just like this sister who had a vision concerning her son but lacked the knowledge of the authority of the believer to stop satan from destroying her son’s life. There are others who also have the knowledge yet they lacked the wisdom and teaching as to how to apply the knowledge in different circumstances. Many lives were lost or retarded in many aspects due to this.

The Purpose of God’s Revelation

There is a purpose to what God is doing and in fact there is a purpose to why God is giving you a revelation.

Here are some things we need to do… (more…)

The Different Seasons of FFC

As the Lord directed, we moved our office to Capitol Building in June 2006 and we started noon prayer the following month. Noon prayer is held Tuesdays to Fridays. On 6th July 2006 at noon prayer, Karen picked this up in her spirit: “ 12”, [3,3,3,3], the next phase, the next 3 years, 3 years from now which is 2009, which is 12 years from 1997.”  On 2nd January 2009 at noon prayer, Karen equated 3,3,3,3 to the four seasons that FFC has gone through and we are now at the end of the fourth season.

FFC would have been in existence for twelve years by June 2009. The church was started on 6th July 1997. I would like to highlight the events of each three year segment beginning with July 1997.

We trace the seasons FFC had gone through to understand what would be coming up ahead. For God has ordained appointed times or seasons for those who would follow Him. Life is not without purpose. But our lives and service unto God are in seasons if we are to follow Him as He ordains them. We also trace the season which was not ordained of God simply because we did not follow Him.

The Season of Growth   July 1997 – June 2000

The church grew and the attendance broke the 200 mark. The first one and a half years were the “honeymoon years”, where people were excited about this new, first Word of Faith church pastored by the first Rhema graduate in this nation. We started this church also as a dynamic praying church. We did not really have a worship team and the people were only beginning to learn how to pray in the Spirit effectively. The ministries we had were still in the beginners stage of development. The leadership was also not in place yet. However by May 1999 I was aware of strife among the congregation.

The Tumultuous Season  July 2000 – June 2003

In this season we brought in the wrong people to be part of FFC staff. We started the Bible school in our church not in accordance to God’s appointed time. It was like the  “the straw that broke the camel’s back.” This was the most troubled and difficult season. The church was split by the staff and for one and a half years, we were in the “red” financially.

The Season of Recovery  July 2003 – June 2006

God spoke to me to attend the Campmeeting in Tulsa, Oklahoma in July 2003. It was there that the “shaft of light” came down from heaven on me – it was the glory of God. It was the beginning of our recovery from the past difficult season.  In 2005 there was a change in the church leadership and we sent our first batch of leaders to Tulsa for the Ministers, Leaders & Helps Conference.  The church started to turn a corner and we received a new assignment – to do prayer mission. We went on our first prayer mission to Shanghai on 17th October 2005 and today a church has been started by Ps. Daniel there. On 23rd April 2006 Rev. Patsy Cameneti spoke in our church saying that there was something coming up for this church and both she and her husband, Tony, had sensed it coming since January 2005 and felt it would be good . She also said, “There is a shifting coming for this church”, “changes coming for FFC”, “pivotal”. She also said to me about us making a turn and we would see more as to what the Lord had for us.

Regarding the youths, she mentioned that there were “packages” contained in their lives and that the unfolding of these packages could only be done through prayer. We started Youth Prayer a few months later. At the end of the year In December 2006 the youths went on their first prayer mission to Malacca. It was a very significant trip. Some felt that it was a turning point in their lives. 2006 indeed was a turning point for both the church and for individuals.

The Season of Fulfillment, Abundance & Fruitfulness  July 2006 – June 2009

In the March 2007 retreat, Rev. Carol Cooper said that we were turning a bend and we would see more. Indeed, we had our first Word of Faith Convention (WOFC) in December 2007. We held our second WOFC and the first Women Ministers Convention the following year in August 2008. My first book, “God the Father of Spirits” was written and released at our first WOFC.

On our prayer mission to Lijiang in March 2008, we received another assignment from the Lord – to start a bible school and since then we have been in the process of preparing to start the school by July 2009.

Since October 2008 we have seen the gradual unfolding and the fulfillment of the vision Karen had about the “4 Junks” eighteen years ago when Doris, Karen, Geok Eng and I were praying.

There is still about 6 months more before we see the end of this season. We can expect changes to come for the church and for individuals. Especially for the youths who went to the Malacca prayer mission. It was a significant camp that made a turning point in their lives. We should see the fruit thereof in 2009 – destinies unfolding.

Have a blessed year!
