"Worship team is my life. It's already a part of me and will forever be. Everyone's family to me and I know I'll never leave the team. I get to play for the Lord and enjoy music at the same time. With all these skilled musicians here, we get to have the most fun."

  • Edwin Edwin

"It gives me strength to face the challenges during the week, because it gives me extra opportunities to praise God. It also allows me to develop my singing, as I get to learn from the other gifted musicians in the team. But the best part is when we play and sing and exalt God. It means a lot to me to know that we have the same heart towards praise and worship, being united as one, and knowing that the team is always there for us to call upon whenever we need help or are troubled."

"No matter how busy I am with work or with secular activities, worshipping in the team always makes me connect with God. I admit that I sometimes get lazy or feel tired, but I've learnt that going for worship practice and being able to worship is what keeps my spirit alive for God. That's what being in the team means to me; it keeps me going."

  • Eugene Eugene

"Being in the worship team allows me to serve God and that means a lot to me. Although I am a young Christian, it is important for me to know that I can do my little part to serve God and the church. It is my dream to be able to play in the worship team of a church and serve God. I'm glad my dream has come true."

The Worship Ministry

1 Peter 4:10
10 As each of you has received a gift (a particular spiritual talent, a gracious divine endowment), employ it for one another as [befits] good trustees of God's many-sided grace [faithful stewards of the extremely diverse powers and gifts granted to Christians by unmerited favor].

The Call

God directed the church in Corinth to come together with hymns, words of instruction, revelations, tongues and interpretation, all for the strengthening of the church (1 Cor 14:26). We have the same calling to lead His people to encounter God in praise and to bring the message of salvation through songs that tell of His wondrous deeds.

Praise: The Highest form of Prayer

The only way to achieve an excellent standard of worship is to let the Holy Spirit do the leading. For this reason, we pray in the Spirit constantly and remind ourselves all the time to lean our entire personalities on Him in all that we do. This way, the glory goes back to God because it was all from Him and all for Him!

Ministry: Tried in the small things

Ministry can be fun! We meet on Saturdays to practise for Sunday service and begin every session by praying together. Thereafter, we spend about two hours running through songs. We trust in the Holy Spirit to guide us to choose the right songs that will minister to the congregation and bring everyone to a higher level of worship.

Recruitment

Currently, we prepare boys and girls under 16 for participation in worship and believe this will help develop a new generation of leaders. Please voice your interest in joining our team and sign up for our auditions if you have a heart of worship and a call to serve!

Our Team

Our team comprises of Worship Ministry Coordinators, Song Leaders, Back-Up Singers, Guitarists, Bassists, Keyboardists and Percussionists.

New Beginnings in 2012

Through faith, by grace, we seek to attain a higher level of worship; firstly, by building ourselves up in the Word and in prayer so that we can be increasingly sensitive and accurate in the flow of the Spirit. Secondly, by fine-tuning the musical skills of our members to improve our technical abilities, allowing us to be more flexible and to be able to adapt quickly if the Holy Spirit re-directs His flow in the service. To increase the camaraderie in the team, we will have jamming sessions during the week (aside from the usual Saturday practices) to provide an avenue for different team members, and even non-members in the church, to explore their musical talents and get a chance to lead a team. Lastly, in line with what has been prayed out in our church prayer groups, the team shall increasingly pursue the Spirit's leading and tap on His creative power, to write, sing, and play new songs!

To all...

Worship is not just about music and singing. It is how we live daily in reverence of Him. It is an expression of our love for the Lord and it emanates from our thoughts, actions and words.
