Conquering the Spirit of Fear

Situations and circumstances which happen in life can cause stress and distress, which may open the door to the spirit of fear. Fear is a spiritual force whose source comes from the devil. To effectively and successfully overcome fear, the Word of God gives us an antidote in Isaiah 41:10. God said  not to fear because He’s God and He will be with us. He said He will do three things.

The Word of God also tells us that fear is a lie which will lure us into a trap. The key to overcoming fear is to keep our minds on God and be bold. Joab,  the commander of the army, was bold to confront King David because David was clouded by his emotions from doing the right thing. Joab saved the morale of David’s army after winning many battles. Fear of man and what man thinks about us, or fear of not being accepted can hinder God’s plan for our lives – Kate McVeigh.
