Dos and Don’ts in Seeking and Hearing from the Father

There are three methods the Holy Spirit leads us:

• The inner witness of the Holy Spirit; which is the primary way

• The inward voice; which is louder than the inner witness

• The voice of the Holy Spirit; more authoritative and louder than the other two, seems like “booming”

There are many ways He guides us.

Why are the three methods the safest methods to lead and for you to follow the Holy Spirit? They are surer and safer than angels appearing to you, or through visions, dreams, or prophecy. It is because the Holy Spirit dwells in your spirit and He speaks, tells, and passes information to your spirit directly. The devil cannot get inside your spirit. The devil can only speak to your mind but not to your spirit.

If you learn to distinguish what is in your spirit and not in your mind, you will be able to isolate where the information is coming from.

People get into trouble because they do what the devil puts in their minds. When they look back, they realise they actually had something else in their spirit. But because they were so mind conscious, they could not approach the Heavenly Father in simplicity. Thus their own spirits were clouded with their own reasoning and influenced by the devil’s wisdom.

What are the dos and don’ts in seeking and hearing from the Father?
