Paul’s Thorn In the Flesh
Up in the third heaven, Paul heard words that could not be expressed in our natural language. He saw saw visions and had revelations of the Lord, from the Lord.
The phrase “not lawful” means Paul was not authorised and not permitted to say about this.
With extraordinary abundance of revelations, Paul was able to minister extraordinarily and effectively and the power of the Holy Spirit manifested in a far greater measure.
However Paul was tormented by a thorn in the flesh. It is written the thorn in the flesh was a messenger of Satan, a demonic spirit. Some supernatural being (spirit) that fulfils the purpose of Satan. Obviously it was not God sent. It was sent by Satan.
The demonic spirit buffeted Paul. The demonic spirit was beating Paul, buffeting him to prevent him from operating, and ministering from an extraordinary higher spiritual level.
The demonic spirit ( supernatural being that fulfils the purpose of Satan) was beating Paul to prevent him from being raised or lifted above the ordinary spiritual level (measure).
A thorn in the flesh is a figure of speech which is found in the Old Testament.
What are the errors of interpreting Paul’s Thorn in the Flesh?
