Stand On The Name of Jesus
The Name represents Jesus. It is as good as Jesus Himself present with us. When we use the Name of Jesus, it is just as good as Jesus Himself here to enforce whatever we demand that is rightfully ours from the devil.
When we lay hands, it is as good as Jesus laying hands on you. It is as good as Jesus commanding the devil and depression to leave.
Even if you follow the practice of anointing with oil, be sure you stand on the Name of Jesus. It is the Name of Jesus that will cause an effect and a healing and a cure. It is Jesus, who is God Himself, who will heal the sick. Not the oil.
The New Covenant never teaches us to ask the pastor to pray over the oil and then the oil becomes anointed. James said to smear the sick with oil in the Name of the Lord Jesus.
Stand on the fact that it is the power of the Lord Jesus which will be released to cure the sick; not the oil.
James said the prayer of faith will heal and make whole the sick. The prayer of faith is also prayed in the Name of the Lord Jesus. James did not say the anointing oil will heal the sick but the prayer of faith will heal the sick.
Stand on the name after you have prayed the prayer of faith. Then you are not standing on your prayer but the Name of the Lord Jesus.
Why do we have to stand and not fight? Because the Satan is already defeated and his works are defeated. And the Word of God tells us to stand against the schemes and deceits of the devil.
Standing on the Name of Jesus is also standing on the effect of what He has done. When we read what Jesus did in the gospel, we can stand on His Name expecting the same effect or result.
